James Wallace

Biography

When performing for George Benson, James was told by George, “You come to New York tomorrow- you’ll be playing New York tomorrow!” So he did. On a journey from subway platforms to the famous Carnegie Hall, James has traveled and performed internationally, bringing a unique perspective to his music-making:

“Everywhere I go,” offers James, “Our similarities as people far outnumber our differences: in the end we desire the same things - love, acceptance, sharing - and I contribute as much as I can through my music.”

Born in Perth, Australia, James Wallace is an award-winning American performer, composer and producer. In addition to American tours, he has been featured as singer and flutist on numerous CDs and has recorded at Looking Glass, home of Phillip Glass. His studies include the Royal Conservatory, Berklee, and Juilliard.

His pop song, “Beauty Inside,” helped support the Cancer Society’s program, ‘Look Good, Feel Better.’ His version of “Oh, Danny Boy” is a bestseller at iTunes and was the listeners' club pick for the Bioshock soundtrack. James's music has been featured in independent films, and he has been the voice talent for audio books for RFB&D , including the work of Seamus Heaney, the celebrated poet.
