Jared Ripplinger started his pursuit of music at 11 years old. He studied viola privately for many years, and now continues his passion for music by composing and performing his original work. He composes on the piano and plays by ear, orchestrating and recording his own compositions at home. He has released numerous recordings independently including The Last Mile, Edge of Darkness, Between These Walls, and most recently Spectrum. He has also worked closely with his cousin, Emily Tribe Montierth, a vocalist, composer, and lyricist, on such projects as Synergy and their single Carry Me. Jared currently resides in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Jared is an advocate for equal rights for the LGBT community, and much of his music centers on his struggles growing up in the Mormon church and being gay. Spectrum was his first release after he publicly came out in 2010. He is now working on string/piano arrangements of his original works to be recorded later this year.
