Actor, singer/songwriter, producer/director, writer and activist JAX has worked in television, film, theater and viral video. JAX recently starred in the short film Glow, which she co-wrote with director, Nicolas Kadima who cast her in her first role as Joan of Arx on Canada’s Space Channel. She has guest-starred on the hit sci-fi series Eureka, appeared in two American Pie films and has recently completed her debut EP, Elevator Goodbyes, which was produced and co-written with Vic Levak of Balligomingo. JAX has performed on stage with the Soulpepper Theater Company and studied dance with the Toronto Dance Theater, American Ballet Theater and Kirov Academy of Ballet.
JAX is passionate about causes such as Earth Hour, which uses the simple act of turning off the lights for one hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action on global warming. She co-wrote, produced, directed and starred in four viral videos for WWF in honor of Earth Hour 2010. She also organized and hosted her own Earth Hour event in Vancouver in 2008. In conjunction with that event, JAX wrote, produced, directed and starred in a PSA/Music Video ‘Flicking The Lights Off’ which made its debut on Urban Rush, was screened at the 2008 Projecting Change Vancouver Film Festival and Vancouver’s Celluloid Social Club, has received thousands of hits on YouTube and has been posted on Green sites and blogs all over the net.
JAX has pledged to continue her efforts to raise awareness about the need for less energy consumption in the future.
