Jayway

Biography

Welcome to Jayway’s bio. You’ve ended up here either by pure chance or by invitation. Whatever the reason, Jayway is glad you’re here. Take a moment to sample each and every song before rapidly clicking that mouse onto another site. Hopefully the short sample will be enough to elicit your curiosity. Some points to have in mind…

Jayway has been writing, performing, recording, producing, mixing and mastering his own music for the last 25+ years.

Jayway’s recordings get better with each passing year. (Not bragging. Just a humble awareness of how much there is to learn.)

Jayway has been heavily influenced by the Beatles’ music. (Listen and that will become apparent.) However, over the years, he has picked up so many other styles in his musical lint catcher.

Din of Inequity

Jayway the mad scientist, in his music lab, combines brain of Zappa, a Beatlesque heart, backbone of Aerosmith, Claptonlike fingers, the guts of Green Day, tongue of McCartney, larynx of Fogarty and fuzzy coat of Weezer. Building the perfect rock beast.

Melodious Deconstruction of Anomalous Intent

Curious music that harkens back to the experimental days of Beatles, Bowie, Devo, Flying Lizards and even Dr. Demento. All the while maintaining accessible melodies, riveting hooks and cool concepts in much the same way.

Semigloss Picnic
2005
This album was inspired by Paul McCartney's "Ram" because of its spectacular variety and musical juxtapositions. It also seeks to preserve the raw quality of that, somewhat, fledgling endeavor.
