Arthur Miller once said he looked forward to seeing what his plays inspired in others. In his spirit, I handed these songs, most of them mine, to Brad Phillips and Dominic Davis. The only thing I told them was to play what they heard. Oh, did they ever. Mr. Miller was right. A collection of songs performed live at The Purple Rose Theatre, a not-for-profit theatre Jeff Daniels founded in his hometown of Chelsea, MI. The music combines storytelling with a bit of folk-country and a dash of blues. In August '09, I played five sold-out shows at The Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea, Michigan. Since it's my theatre, it was easy to book. A not-for-profit professional company that produces New American Plays, everything I might make from this CD goes straight to them.
