Jeff Lionheart’s music is not about money or popularity contests. It’s not a social outlet or a way to meet girls. For him, it’s an all-consuming passion echoing in the soul of an artist possessed by true beauty. Since the age of 4, Jeff has considered music his oxygen, religion and defining existence. His musical creations have unusual time accents, syncopated arrangements, and dramatic structure, laying the foundation for catchy chorus harmonies that keep running through your mind. The lyrics are honest and vulnerable, and his 4 octave vocal range reveals dramatic, sensual, and emotional melodies of unfulfilled longing.
Lionheart’s debut release of Music or Death was recorded in 2009 and includes performances with members of the Grammy nominated Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra. He composed and arranged this 40 part orchestration without being able to read or write a single note of music, but by playing and recording each individual instrument from piano, to guitars and drums. It might be his first, but you can expect future albums from Jeff Lionheart every year since he is constantly in the studio working, or in his own words “catering to the obsession.”
