JEFFREY C. MOEN
Jeff Moen has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota, as well as a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Seminary. Jeff also attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he pursued a PhD program in religious studies. His religious interests also lead him into the Presbyterian seminary for extended studies, where he was a Presbyterian minister candidate. Jeff spent several years in Italy and Germany, where he worked, studied, and became fluent in both the Italian and German languages. His knowledge of European culture and Italian tile led him to become an international marketing consultant for the ceramic tile industry. Jeff is currently involved in neurological research into the healing effects of sounds for developmental disorders, such as autism.
Aside from his business and spiritual interests, Jeff’s personal passions have been driven by his interests in music. Accordingly, he has been a musician, performer, arranger, and producer for more than 35 years, and he has even developed his own unique musical instruments. Applying his business skills to his musical passions, Jeff started and continues to own/operate Avoca Records. Jeff is also the owner of Studio 717, a recording studio in Alpharetta, GA (USA), which has been doing quality digital recordings for businesses, churches, schools, music groups, and individuals since 1995.
His business and musical interests have not separated Jeff from his desire for spiritual fulfillment, nor have they dampened his desire to reach out and connect with the souls of others. He is certified as a hypnotherapist and regression therapist, and he uses these skills toward the development of advanced meditation techniques synchronized with stress-releasing music. The overall intent of this effort is to explore the applications of meditation for healing at all levels of the body, mind and soul.
Given Jeff’s extensive business, musical and spiritual background, it was a natural fit for him to develop a collaborative relationship with John Kelly in the pursuit of alternative healing through music and meditation. It was from this cooperative effort that the extraordinarily effective and beautiful eSpirt meditation recordings were created.
