Biography

Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers, grand prize winner in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, is a contributor to NPR’s All Things Considered and founding editor of Acoustic Guitar magazine. His albums include Humming My Way Back Home, which features the Lennon contest winner "Fly"; Stop, Drop, and Roll, an all-original studio collaboration with multi-percussionist Joshua Dekaney; and Dead to the Core, featuring solo acoustic performances of classic Grateful Dead songs. He and his brother, Dru Rodgers, led the San Francisco acoustic rock band Heavy Wood, which released its self-titled debut in 2012.
