Jenni Olson is an active orchestral and chamber music performer in the Los Angeles area. She is currently principal flute with the Stockton Symphony and second flute with the Long Beach Symphony and Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra. As a freelance musician, Jenni has performed with prestigious groups such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera and Pacific Symphony. She also teaches flute at Citrus College and Music Appreciation at Pasadena City College. As a studio musician Jenni can be heard on dozens of soundtracks, commercials and records including recent works such as Ice Age 4, The Lorax, Men in Black 3, Night at the Museum 2 and Sex in the City 2. Jenni received her BA from California State University, Stanislaus where she studied with Caryl Mae Scott and received her MM and DMA from University of Southern California where she studied with Jim Walker.
As a solo recording artist Jenni has three solo albums. Her debut album titled Jenni Scott is available through CDbaby. Her second album, The Dreams of Birds, was released through Delos in June of 2012 and is distributed by Naxos and can be found on Amazon or itunes. Her third album, Forty Little Pieces, is an educational project and is meant to give young flutists a solid tone concept as they begin their musical journeys. It is a collection of some of Classical music’s favorite melodies and can be enjoyed by all music lovers.
