Biography

I've been fortunate in my life in many ways, including having spent the early part of my career working with such incredible artists as Stevie Wonder, Def Leppard, Patti LaBelle, Christina Aguilera, Wyclef Jean, Babyface, Jessica Simpson, Smokey Robinson, Lee Ann Womack, Kid Rock, and Usher, as well as Cirque du Soleil, Disney, and American Idol.

I'm grateful for these experiences, as they enabled me to nurture and pursue my true passion: helping others to discover and develop their best voices. For fifteen years, I've had the privilege of working with a wide variety of groups and individuals- including Grammy, Emmy, CMA, and Tony award winners, as well as corporate clients across an array of industries- to release mental and physical inhibitions, establish personal and performance confidence, and communicate with authenticity, humility, and strength. My experiences and ideas have also been captured in my new book: The Art of Singing: Discovering and Developing Your True Voice, available now from Hal Leonard Publishing at Borders, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon.

I've also enjoyed writing songs for years, a number of which have been featured on television, in film, and on recordings by artists in a variety of genres. My song “If You Ask Me To” was a finalist in the American Idol Songwriting Competition, and I wrote lyrics for a Musical Theater project as well as a new American Song Cycle entitled “The Journey” with Mark O’Connor. Most recently, my song "Painted" was released on Emma Sophina's Decca/Universal Records 2009 project: "Miracle".

All of the music here at CDBaby are recordings of songs I've written and loved over the years. I hope you do too. Best wishes, and feel free to touch base by contacting me at www.jenniferhamady.com
