Jennifer Rose is now weaving lyrics for 20+ new songs for her second CD “Faith, Love & Rock n’ Roll”. Many of the lyrics are completed and dive deeper into the human experience. The music will have strong modern rock roots lightly flavored of hints of blues, punk & metal.
From a very early age music was everything to me. There was nothing else that I cared so deeply about. It was more than just a way for me to express myself whenever I was happy, sad, lonely, love struck, angry, etc. I never thought about fame, only how amazing it would be to make my whole world about music. When you care that strongly about anything you simply know there is no option other than to dedicate your life to it.
Although I am a classically trained vocalist and have performed & recorded in a dozen different genres, I love Rock! Rock comes with a different attitude than other genres. Rock represents strength, an attitude that says "I live my life for ME, on MY own terms. And if you don't like it, you can kiss it!" As a female artist it is important to me that I write songs that appeal to both sexes and that I write with a strong opinion & stance.
"If ever Debbie Harry got in bed with Lemmy then lil' Jen would be their bitchin' offspring."
- Rob Evans, Power Play Magazine (UK)
I hope soon to be touring full time with a great group of musicians. I want to bring high energy, fist pumping, sing-along rock anthems to venues in the US and Europe. I can’t tell you how exciting it is to hear from so many new friends & fans, almost half of them from Europe & Japan.
"The relentless rocking is putting most of her male counterparts to full-on shame."
- Rock Report - Belgium
In 2007, Warner Bros. Records NY contacted Jennifer. After three hours discussing musical direction, content and business plan, both parties had outlined a verbal plan. Shortly after this Warner cut most of their A&R staff, and with it, all artists in the pipeline.
"Jennifer's "I Go A Little Mental" beat out Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" yesterday."
- JJ Star, 100.1 The Edge, Los Angeles
Disappointed but determined, this was the catalyst that triggered Jennifer Rose to turn her demo into her first full length CD, “Alone & Unsupervised”. With much of the lyrical content completed, the ten song CD was co-written and recorded over ten days in New York & New Jersey.
Jennifer Rose songs have been heard on 50+ radio stations in the US, Europe, Canada, South America and Japan. Jennifer Rose songs were also featured between live bands at FireFest (UK). Magazine interviews include Muen Magazine and Metal Pit in the US, Power Play magazine in the UK, Hard Metal Forces magazine in Japan, and Legends Magazine in Canada. CBS used a co-written Jennifer Rose in their radio ad for the TV show “Two Broke Girls”.
