Jennifer Sheehan

Of “the rising cabaret star,” Stephen Holden of The New York Times writes: “The beauty of Ms. Sheehan’s voice is refreshingly unvarnished and devoid of circus tricks. Drawing from a deep well of feeling, she interprets lyrics from the point of view of someone who knows who she is and conveys empathy in a voice that glows with insight. Young, good-looking and very astute, Ms. Sheehan gives you hope.”

Award-winning vocalist Jennifer Sheehan has become a highly sought after new voice in the concert and cabaret world. Ms. Sheehan has performed for audiences from coast to coast and in the U.K., including at Carnegie Hall as the guest of Michael Feinstein, the Savannah Music Festival, Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, Guild Hall in East Hampton, the Juilliard at Aiken Festival, Ely Cathedral in England, the Colony Hotel’s Royal Room in Palm Beach, the Brownville Concert Series in Nebraska, The Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis and more-- as well as in numerous concerts at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Town Hall and many of New York’s prestigious private clubs.

The first-ever recipient of the Johnny Mercer Foundation's ‘Margaret Whiting Award’ and the first-ever winner of the ‘Noël Coward Foundation Competition Award,’ Ms. Sheehan also has received the Dorothy Loudon Foundation's ‘Dorothy Loudon Award.’ Previously, she was honored by the Mabel Mercer Foundation with the ‘Julie Wilson Award’ for outstanding interpretation of the Great American Songbook and was the first-place winner in the National Glenn Miller Vocal Competition.

Ms. Sheehan made her critically-acclaimed Feinstein’s at Loews Regency debut with a two-week run of her latest show, “I Know a Place-- Spend a Night in the Sensational ‘60s.” She previously headlined a sold-out run of her critically-acclaimed show at the Metropolitan Room, “You Made Me Love You— Celebrating 100 Years of the Great American Songbook.” The show was described by Stephen Holden of The New York Times as “smart and far-reaching.”

Known for her captivating performances and her extraordinary, versatile voice, Ms. Sheehan performs in concert and in the theater. She most recently starred as ‘Betty Haynes’ (Rosemary Clooney’s role) in “White Christmas” regionally and has performed as one of six vocalists in “Radio City Music Hall’s Christmas Spectacular.” She also has performed in shows at the 92nd Street Y, the York Theater, the Bard Summerscape Festival, Boston Musical Theater and on national tours.

"I guess you could say I'm living my dream," says Jennifer, "sharing my passion for timeless standards with young people who haven't discovered them yet, as well as with generations who cherish them and love hearing them sung live again!"

Ms. Sheehan is a graduate of The Juilliard School.
