Jesús Calderón

Biography

The music of Jesús Calderón is unique, beautiful and very unusual. Melodies as main characters, symphonic and electronic sounds playing together. Past and future musical colours mixing in a grand landscape.

Jesús was inspired at the beginning of his career by electronic composers, as Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis or Kraftwerk, among many others. You can clearly notice their inffluence in his music.

He discovered also the minimalist music of Michael Nyman, Philip Glass or Wim Mertens, and the great soundtrack composers as John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith or Hans Zimmer.

Their albums are a big fingerprint of his talent, and they state clearly how is possible to mix and join very different sonic worlds and musical languages.

In the present day, Jesús is composing soundtracks for cinema, media and TV.
