Jim Daneker

Jim Daneker is a film & trailer composer who specializes in bold, evocative themes & soaring melodies. He got his start in the music industry in the mid-90's, touring and recording with world-renowned artists such as Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, Amy Grant and many others.

Jim's career eventually broadened into film music, at first assisting Michael W. Smith on Joshua (2001) and The Second Chance (2006), while composing all the music for The Mercy Gene (2004), the award-winning score for Relapse (2008) The Potential Inside (2010), as well as a series of trailers and documentaries.

Jim's style is a blend of traditional orchestra, huge percussion beds, electronic textures, ethnic instruments and edgy rock guitars - sometimes all at once.

Influences include film music legends John Williams, James Newton Howard and E.S. Posthumus, while also pulling from the pop/rock world: U2, Coldplay, Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Sigur Ros and many others...
