Jim has had a varied musical career. His first commercial work was playing drums in an early rock & roll band. He later moved into folk music in the 60’s playing acoustic guitar. In the 70’s he played mandolin in the upstate New York bluegrass band Headin’ South. This was followed by some time in country-rock as well as playing piano in a supper club. In 1998, he, Kate and baby Seamus moved to southwest Ireland where he performed a single for almost four years in the lively Kerry pubs. After daughter Aisling was born, the family returned and is now living in east Tennessee. Jim is in high gear writing and recording original music that is truly his craft.
