Jim Morse

Biography

Jim's music is simple and soulful and has been said to have a calming healing quality. As a Licenced Clinical Social Work/Psychotherapist Jim has spent 30 years on a personal and professional healing journey touching the lives of many and forever growing and learning on the journey to the soul. Musically Jim began playing the guitar in 1965. Quitting his job as a bartender in 1974 Jim traveled to Nashville Tennessee to become a songwriter. Life however had other plans and Jim settled down in New York to raise a family and dedicated his life as a healing psychotherapist. His song "As I Was A Tennessee Bound" captures that story in hearfelt fashion. A number of life changing events came to Jim along the way which culminated in a reawakening of the soul in 2008. Jim reconnected to his 1974 dream to become a songwriter and discovered many songs that were inspired by both personal and spiritual experiences. In a period of 16 months Jim wrote and recorded over 36 songs and as a result 2 CD's are soon to be released on CD Baby "Somewhere Along The Way" and "The Sun Rises And Sets On You". Jim's songs were previewed on Acidplanet.com in 2008 and opened to rave reviews from the cyber songwriters community. Jim finds musical influences rooted deep in America's heartland.
