JIM STARR – BIO
Having grown up in the San Fernando Valley, Jim began his performing career with his own band called “The Planets”. Performing throughout the Los Angeles area at Country Clubs and special events, Jim’s band became one of the most requested casual bands in the area.
When Jim joined the Los Angeles Police Department, the Chief of Police saw an opportunity to put Jim’s musical talents to work as a spokesperson for the Police Department and a representative for community relations, which involved performing for elementary schools throughout Los Angeles teaching children safety through music. Jim became known as “The Singing Cop” and went on to appear on national television shows and perform at the Hollywood Bowl with the likes of Sammy Davis Jr. and Glen Campbell.
After retiring from LAPD, Jim continued his musical career and has performed for events around the world – one of his favorites being for the King of Sweden. Jim continues to perform, make personal appearances, as well as write and produce music for radio and television commercials. He has produced children’s television shows, documentaries, and is now in development for a film to titled, “The Game That Changed the Nation”.

CHRISTINA – BIO
Christina began her career in the third grade when she won a talent contest singing “To Know Him is to Love Him”. Ever since then, music has been her passion. She has gone on to star in musical productions in high school, college, and professionally. Her repertoire ranges from Big Band Jazz to Pop/Rock to Broadway Show Tunes to Country.
A native of California, Christina graduated from the University of California/Berkeley in Theater/Physical Education, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her musical career. Christina has worked in film and television, both in front of, and behind the camera – both as a performer and as a producer. Her trio, The Swing Dolls, have recently been featured on The Gilmore Girls, and have performed for many major national corporate events and parties. Christina has performed with “That Sentimental Swing” show in Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nevada. She also performs with several other bands, including “The Los Angeles Police Concert and Jazz Band” and “The Verdugo Swing Society”. She has appeared at several Los Angeles Clubs such as The Gardenia and Lunaria’s,, and has been featured as a solo artist at several benefits, including Make A Wish Foundation and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, The National Broadcasters Association of America,; and the annual Jack Webb Awards.
