BIOGRAPHY
Jimlapbap, taken from a obsolete song from a musical written a long time ago about a restaurant planet that served a sandwich made from a jimlap (a very loud alien bird), or "jimlapbap," is the militant pop faction of composer Wesley Johnson's musical output. Jimlapbap gained a small, small, small amount of popularity on YouTube with extreme arrangements, such as a barbershop version of Nickelback's Rockstar, or a a punk version of "The Girl From Ipanema." Combining everything from a cappella, classical, modern, experimental, jazz, rock, bluegrass, hip-hop, mixed in with a rubber chicken and a dose of geekdom, jimlapbap has trouble definining his music within a genre, much like his heroes Moxy Früvous or They Might Be Giants. In jimlapbap's other composing life, he holds a PhD in music composition and is aspiring to be a university professor, never afraid to borrow from one side to add flare into the other side.
