Classical Crossover artist, Joanne Jolee, began studying piano, music theory, and voice at eight years of age, and earned her music credentials at the Trinity College of Music and The Royal School of Music, both prestigious schools headquartered in London, England. Composing music beginning at age 12, Jolee has been tapped to write music for radio, television, and video soundtrack productions.
Immigrating to the United States from New Zealand in 1979 as an exchange student, Joanne became a permanent resident in 1980, and a US citizen in 2002.
In 1998 she formed a pop band, CJA, with 3 of her daughters (www.cjaonline.com). They performed for the next 10 years at fairs, festivals and corporate events across Arizona and California, appearing before the judges of “ America’s Got Talent” and “The Next Great American Band”, a reality TV show created by the producers of American Idol. They won the title, “ Arizona’s Best Pop Band” in 2002 and they were nominated for "Best Female Band" at the Arizona Infusion Music Awards in 2001.
