Joe Burton is from London, England but now resides in New Zealand's beautiful South Island. He started writing his own music in 2008 and 'The Moon in the Room' is his first album. Joe is influenced by the rich tradition of North American and British folk and country music. His influences include Nick Drake, Iron & Wine, Sufjan Stevens, Damien Rice, Damien Jurado, Ryan Adams, Donovan and Bob Dylan to name but a few. Joe finds inspiration for his music in literature and film and in the beauty of nature and in human relationships.
