Biography

An acoustic duo from Ellington, CT, John and Heidi Cerrigione ('ser-a-go-nee) offer a simple brand of old-time acoustic music.  Instrumentation typically includes autoharp, hammered and mountain dulcimers, banjo, guitar, and acoustic bass.  In 1995 they joined Neal and Coleen Walters to create Doofus, performing traditional and contemporary folk songs.  John and Heidi have recorded 4 albums with Doofus, three duet recordings, and joined Atwater-Donnelly in 2007 as part of Jerimoth Hill, recording The Halfway Ground.  They recently contributed to Aubrey & Elwood's new recording, The Weaver's Bonny, 2009.

Released in 2009 “Joy to the World”, John & Heidi's 3rd duet recording, is a heartwarming collection of Christmas melodies played on a variety of acoustic instruments. May these Christmas favorites bring you peace, comfort and joy throughout the year.
