John Herdt & Wally Z

Biography

As guitarist for the Head Arrangers, the Mnemonist Orchestra, Mirage, Ruckus and the Bobby Berge Project, John Herdt's musical journey has spanned styles ranging from psychedelic rock to prime jazz-rock fusion (think Billy Cobham's Spectrum album) to blues and funk to the new form of progressive rock that he presents here. Known by many for his work running the website for the Tommy Bolin Archives as well as producing CDs of rare Tommy Bolin music, John has played and recorded with many people that Bolin knew and played with.

Drummer Wally Z played brilliantly in Canada's Billion Dollar Babies, Ozgood Slatter, Cameron Curse and Top Dead Centre, a great original band that came in second in a major Classic Rock Magazine battle of the bands. Wally also played with Derek St. Holmes at the 2004 Tommy Bolin Music Festival and with John Herdt & Wally Z at the 2011 Tommy Bolin Music Festival.
