JOHN PIETARO is a cultural worker---a musician, writer and cultural organizer from Brooklyn, NY. He has vast experience performing as a percussionist (xylophone, drumkit, frame drums,various percussives) where he performs jazz, experimental music and songs of social justice. He leads his own band, Radio Noir, as well as performs with other bands including Karl Berger's Stone Workshop Orchestra. However, he alsop has been known in the role of folksinger, performing for many progressive rallies and other events.
