Following Angels is Florida artist, John Terry’s, debut 7 tack EP. Terry’s music is heavily influenced by rock and folk bands including Rush, Pink Floyd, Indigo Girls, The Dave Mathews Band, David Gray, and The Police. The EP, soaked in folk and rock undertones, flows through a series of personal emotions concluding with realizations revealed in the EP’s title track.
While Terry’s influences can be discerned throughout Following Angels, he’s a difficult musician to categorize. This much is clear, the songs and performances are personal and true. What else is there! Three chords, and all that…
JT has been writing and playing music since the age of 13 (that was a long time ago), when he started playing bass in a band dedicated to doing their best to sound like Rush and The Police. Mostly though, they just scared cats.
While attending Florida State University John spent considerably more time playing guitar and writing songs than studying, but somehow sneaked through graduation and went on to Law School. During his attendance at law school in Dayton, Ohio John embarked into his most prolific songwriting years. (It was always cold in Ohio. Guitars and tube amps kept it warm and besides, songwriting was better than reading old cases about scaring cats.)
Today Terry continues to play and write throughout South Florida. He has given studying up forever.
