On a recent trip to upstate New York, Jon Fuller paid his respects at Uncle Sam's grave. Though he did not have a life-changing experience there, the character he created in his song "Uncle Sam's Grave" did, seeing the burial place of that iconic man as a rallying cry for action. Jon's songs are rarely diary entries, but rather tall tales- there is most likely a grain of personal experience within them, but it may be hard to find. Looking back at a relationship one day, Jon turned that thought quickly into a song about finding a time machine in his front yard (and the subsequent adventures finding such a machine would bring). Finding inspiration from acts as diverse as Billy Joel, Kate Bush and System of a Down, Jon takes them all and, through his upbeat attitude and clear voice, makes them his own.
