As a professional artist and musician Jon MacLennan is not wasting any time on the road to success. With already two independently produced albums under his belt on which he wrote, arranged, produced, engineered and recorded, “Suspicious Love” (2006) and “Dreams” (2011), Jon MacLennan has created a permanent place for himself in the modern music industry.
As a sideman, musician, and session player, Jon has already performed and recorded with a panoply of L.A.'s finest musicians. "I feel so blessed to have accrued the friendships and accolades I have, at such an early stage of my career" Jon states. He is proving himself a true songwriter and musician creating melodies with powerful force and unequivocal grace. Merged with arrangements and lyrics that pertain to this generation, the world, and personal things. Jon hopes to evoke feelings of love, hope, peace, faith, and loss through his music.
Jon has had over a decade of performance experience in and around L.A. with a plethora of different artists. Which in turn has culminated into a number of recording sessions for other artists as well. Jon did his first paid recording session at a Grammy-award winning studio at the age of 16! Anyone who has had the chance to see Jon live is immediately moved by the way his true love for the music translates in every aspect of his performance.
Aside from music, Jon enjoys surfing, tea, yoga, cooking, eating healthy, hiking and has been skydiving twice. In between tours, gigs, recording sessions, and composing, you can find him down at the beach catching some waves just like a typical Californian.
