Jonathan Stiers

Biography

Jonathan Stiers, born January 22, in Fayetteville, AR, started singing and playing piano at the age of 7. Raised in Fayetteville, Jonathan remembers his Dad letting him bang on his old "70s" Wurlitzer keyboard. Never having any formal training, Jonathan plays by ear and still doesn't read sheet music to this day. It wasn't until 1994 when Jonathan bought an old, beaten-up, wooden upright, that he started to compose music and lyrics of his own. Some of Jonathan's influences include: Tori Amos, Rufus Wainwright and Depeche Mode.

Jonathan has a degree in graphic design and currently works as a senior art director and plays live whenever he gets the chance. Sadly with a full-time corporate job, he doesn't get to as often. He spends most of his free time composing and recording.
