Born and raised in Tallinn, Estonia, Joonas studied saxophone for 2 years after graduating from high school. While switching to power engineering faculty for a shorter period, he soon decided to return to music production. An acquaintance offered him to arrange and produce instrumental backing tracks for an album containing children's songs. This helped Joonas to warm up some of his music skills, and also gave him the confidence to start working on his first solo project.
More than a year and half later "My Luvly Hammock" was released, which is a mainly instrumental album. When asked about his relation to what he is doing, Joonas replies: "I create music that inspires and aspires me to greater thoughts and feelings, hoping that it will trigger positive ideas in the mind of the listener as well. For me, music is an additional way to support and heal myself. With music, person can create an atmosphere around oneself, which will keep him emotionally and mentally in balance more easily, thus having a positive effect on all areas of life. To be conscious of the power of the music, is to be conscious of an extra tool for healing and supporting oneself."
