Josefus

Biography

Josefus was a pioneer of heavy music in the late 60s and early 70s. They released an independent album in 1970 that is still selling today. Their Dead Man LP has been reissued by several U.S. and European labels, and the original is listed in Hans Pokora's "1001 Record Collector Dreams" as a "very rare" item.

International critics with many different publications and web sites have called Josefus one of the best underground bands from that era. They were on the leading edge of original music that was evolving from 60s psych into 70s heavy.

Although the original band was together for just a year and a half, demand for their music has continued for the past 40 years. The band members have come back together several times to perform and record additional material, some of which is available here on CD Baby.
