Josiah Lyricq

I am Josiah (Zodiacq) Lyricq. Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama music was a part of me, who I was. My music became serious at the age of 13. A young R&B group by the name of New Creation formed. As the lead singer, I traveled all over the Mobile area performing our single, "Beatiful". The group broke up around the the age of 16, and my work came to a halt.In 2008, I came back into music as a solo artist and recorded and sold 700 copies of my former group's single in the first week all over Mobile. Afterwards, I moved to Atlanta, GA to further pursue my independet music career.Atlanta cast me into a slew of networking opportunities. I worked with Kenny Smoove(former producer for R Kelly), Lisa Cunningham, and Kay Clark. I was involved in any and everything from street teams to modeling to learning whar it took to succeed in the industry. In 2009, I utilized my modeling skills to land parts in a Basko Video,  Soulja Boy's "Gucci  Bandanas", and Akera Love Lee's, 'It's Nothing". After that I took a brief hiatus and re-entered the indstry.2010 was the year of the actor for me. I received an anonymous call from a casting director, and doors were opened. I did my first feature in Cartoon Network's hit TV show Level Up. I also was cast in ABC's Christmas Cupid with Christina Millian and Lifetime TV Movie's The Lost Valentine with Jennifer Love Hewitt.I continued to act all the way into 2011.I received a feature role in Tyler Perry's, The house of Payne Season 7:  Episode 35 Pledge. I was also an extra on the AMC hit tv series The Walking Dead. Now here we are at the end of 2012.This year has been one focused entirely on the music scene. My last few years allowed me to discover and master new skills. However, I see myself as an artist, and will always continue to so do. Visit my Facebook page under Josiah Lyricq and my Soundcloud for a look at my fame in the making.
