BIOGRAPHY
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Julian Shore began playing piano at a young age. Starting out playing blues, pop and classical repertoire, he found jazz when he began high school and has since made that his focus of sorts. He first began to study improvisation and composition with famed jazz educator Hal Crook at 17, and soon after was awarded a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music. Since then he has had the opportunity to perform or record with musicians such as Kurt Rosenwinkel, Gretchen Parlato, Gilad Hekselman, Myron Walden, Kendrick Scott, Mark Giuliana, Ferenc Nemeth and Hal Crook among many others.
