BIOGRAPHY
I am, Donovan Mark Martin, better known as "Junior Montana". I was born April 21, 1993 in New Orleans, Louisiana to a wonderful mother and father. I was raised in the 3rd ward, which is one of New Orleans’ roughest neighborhoods. Due to the death of my father, my mother became a single parent with 3 boys and 1 girl in the year of 2001. I was only 8 years of age when my father passed away.
Since that time; life, as I’ve known it, changed. My mother did an exceptional job raising her 4 children and I would be the first to attend college. I was incarcerated at the age of 15, then realized that wasn't where I wanted to be in life. The street life was like a magnet to me, as I was resisting, it was pulling.
My peers around me were getting locked up and some were falling victim to the gun. All of this was a process for me, but soon, I got my head on straight and focused on me, even more. Later, I began to see a different way of life, I started rapping; finding out that it’s my natural born talent. I began putting rhymes together at the age of 6. I love being in the studio and making my own music, with a passion and I believe that no one can take that happiness from me.
My favorite rapper is Nas, and I too have dreams of becoming a famous rapper. One of my brothers’ was signed to NoLimit Records in 1999, and goes by the name of D.I.G, my other brother is an Ex- CashMoneyRecords member. He goes by the name of "STONE". When I go to college soon, I will study music and English. I’ve been working to fulfill my dreams for a long time. My opportunity to go to college is coming soon and I will take full advantage of it. I will handle my business and become what I wanted to become my whole life "Successful". Finally my dreams are coming to life and I’ll get to see pride in my mother’s eyes and put a smile on her face.
