A singer, actor, writer, producer, director, and dancer all wrapped into one, KEVEN was born in Indianapolis Indiana. He is the son of pharmaceutical engineer and a school teacher. It was very early on in his life when he showed signs of developing a deep appreciation for the arts. Upon invitation, in the earlier 90s KEVEN auditioned and earned a place within the nationally respected Indianapolis Children’s choir. In his spiritual life, and while beginning middle school, he served as the head choral director for his church’s youth department. In school he maintained a variety of roles in stage productions such as Les Miserable, The Crucible, and Woody Allan’s Don’t Drink The Water. Summer of 1999, going into his senior year of high school, his family and he moved to Poway California. Already at this point he had gained his honoree letters in performance from his Indiana school. While a student at Poway High he participated in every theatrical stage production the school held with leading roles; such productions included The Tavern and The Music Man in addition to several choral variety concerts. He also wrote a lyrical composition that was entered into state’s Palomar Annual Reflections Award competition, which is hosted by California’s PTA. He won two awards on the night of recognition for his lyrical piece entitled Anything Is Possible. He graduated Poway in the spring of 2000 and went on to San Diego State University as a theater major in the fall of the year. While starting off his fall semester he was cast to portray several ensemble characters in a revival of the stage musical The Wiz, which was staged at the prestigiously historical Spreckles Theater down town San Diego. He later went on star in a commercial for the US Navy and a film for the Us Army. In music, over the next three years, he worked with various San Diego producers, including producer of the stars Marti Armada, while independently releasing a few early projects. From the experience he gained many skills which crafted his own artistic sound. In 2004 KEVEN self- released his first record entitled For All Times. Shortly thereafter he released Revolution (2005), Black Knight (2006), Rewound (2007), and Endurance (2008). In spring of 2004 he was invited to participate in a competition in which he sang a Stevie Wonder song at the MGM Grand in Vegas. Though he didn’t take home the grand price he did take home an award in vocal excellence. In October 2009 Keven connected with JCB Music Studio in San Diego and began recording the DARKLIGHT album, to which was at last released on January 1st 2011. Inspired by life’s persistent trials, KEVEN came up with a completely differed approach to his new music project. For such a project he knew he would have to look within, and within he found a character named DARKLIGHT. His work has been reviewed in four of San Diego’s largest newspapers. The largest of all were the San Diego Reader & The San Diego Tribune. The Pomerado Newspaper Group, covering five San Diego counties, and the Poway Patch also featured interviews with KEVEN. During this time he also began to independently book and tour southern California venues. Such venues include Amplyfi, Club TRiP, the Chaparral Live Room, and Disney’s The House of Blues in Anaheim. He later moved on to tour with neighboring states as a headliner. Each performance lead him to meeting an array of fellow artist, to which as led to a new project now in production. The new project will star original by Keven and feature band members that had worked with such artist as Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Donna Summers, Toni Braxton, and many – many more name brand artist.
