Biography for K-Mor (Kim-Messenger of rap)
Rhyming came natural to Kim. As a pre-school aged child, she developed a love for it. Subsequently, inspired by RunDMC’s songs Wake Up and It’s Like That, Kim wrote her first rap at the age of 16. In 1989 she received the salvation of Christ and after receiving a thought provoking message from a wise woman one day, Kim was inspired to write her first gospel rap at the age of 20.
Kim grew up in a neighborhood where addicts smoked pipes in broad daylight, prostitutes worked the night and day shifts, and violence lurked around the corner waiting to claim its next victim. These factors, along with Kim’s creative gift from God, have given birth to her raps that have “touched hearts” and “inspired” both youth and adults.
God has blessed Kim with a new name for her new gospel rap ministry: K-Mor which stands for Kim-Messenger of rap. Her goal is to lyrically reach people of all ages and ethnical backgrounds and share the good news about God and her testimony of how He took her from “hard times and cold streets to smooth rhymes and hot beats”.
K-Mor enjoys traveling to and fro sharing positive messages with others as well as spending time having fun with family and friends. You can find her in Houston, Texas, featured at youth events and musicals, sharing smiles and hugs with everyone she meets.
Kim has made a vow to God to continue to share the gift He has bestowed upon her and to encourage her sisters and brothers all over the world for as long as He blesses her to do so
Kim is a wife and mother of two.
