Biography

Kam Falk Bio:

A native of Chicago, Kam Falk began studying piano at the age of seven. He began playing the cello
two years later, and continued to study both instruments throughout high school and college.

Kam continued to immerse himself in music, picking up the bass guitar at age 14 and developing a deep
affinity for jazz and world music. At the age of 17, he began his professional career in both performance
and composing/recording.

In 1987, Kam graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville, having majored in music theory and
composition, then relocated to South Florida and began a master's degree program in the Studio Jazz Writing
program at the University of Miami. Prior to completion, however, he left school to take a position traveling
around the globe as the keyboardist and leader of a jazz trio. Ports of call included Greece, Cairo, Somalia,
Kenya, The Seychelles Islands, The United Arab Emirates, Singapore, The Maldive Islands, Sri Lanka, Madras,
Indonesia, Australia, Papua New Guinea and more.

Kam began composing and recording the material for his solo debut, NATIVE TONGUE, in 1990. During the
decade that followed, he met many of the twelve stellar guests who would appear on his debut enhanced CD.
These guests included Gerry Brown on drums (Stevie Wonder, Stanley Clarke, Vanessa Williams, Diana Ross),
Delmar Brown on keys (Sting, Miles Davis, Jaco Pastorius), Elliott Randall on guitar (Steely Dan, The Doobie
Brothers, Saturday Night Live Band) and many more. NATIVE TONGUE was released in 2002. Following that
release, Kam continued to produce and arrange CD's and enhanced CD's for other artists, including Daryll
Dobson's HEALING INTENTIONS, Mike Corbin's ACOUSTIC WARRIOR, Marcel Morejon's ESPIRITU and David
Gregorisch's DISSECTING THE FROG. He has also been a featured guest bassist and keyboardist on several
releases, such as John Mascaro's 2001 release entitled, RESTORATION, and the 2008 Dorian Vaz release,
SEPIA. Kam established the FALKREATIONS MUSIC (BMI) label for the release of NATIVE TONGUE and, in
addition to releasing Marcel Morejon's ESPIRITU on the label in 2007, he has since added two more solo
releases to the catalog, including a tribute CD to ten of the all-time greatest pop icons entitled, RETRO-RESPECT,
and a collection of solo piano pieces entitled, WEDDING DAY. RETRO-RESPECT is comprised of Kam's unique
interpretations of songs by Aerosmith, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Chaka Khan, Bonnie Raitt,
Steely Dan, Sting, Stevie Wonder and The Eagles. WEDDING DAY features four original compositions and six
cover arrangements. Falk has produced, arranged, engineered and mastered each of the FALREATIONS MUSIC
CD's in addition to performing on six-string bass, four-string bass, fretless bass, keyboards, percussion and
vocals.

2007 marked the completion of Kam's BELLIGER (State of War) SYMPHONY. The Belliger Symphony was
written in three movements and serves as a tribute to those who have lost their lives in the wars in Iraq and
Afghanistan. The three movements of the Belliger Symphony are entitled:
l) Para pro Bellum (Prepare for War)
ll) In Memoriam (In Memory)
lll) Judicium (Judgement)
Currently underway in 2011 is the PAX (Peace) SYMPHONY. The two symphonies will be released together
as a reflection upon War and Peace from the artist's perspective. The first movement of the Pax Symphony
is entitled, Pacis Tandem (Peace at Last).

Kam completed his masters degree in commercial music composition and production in December of 2009.
He graduated Summa cum Laude from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida.
