Kast-A-Way

Island Chyld Entertainment has arrived, releasing its first album from the multifaceted artist Kast-A-Way. This independent label was founded by Kast-A-Way himself in 2010. Kast-A-Way’s debut album release on Island Chyld Entertainment, Da Illblooded presents… Riddim & Rhyme, is scheduled for release on June 29th, 2010. The highly anticipated follow up the Riddim & Rhyme EP will undoubtedly turn heads.

“Alter your perception,” expresses Kast-A-Way, the Haitian all-star. “What you perceive is not always what you receive.” Truer words couldn’t have been spoken of this accomplished lyricist, who combines Reggae and Hip-Hop to create a unique style of his own.

Kas began his professional recording career with Fyngermade Productions out of San Antonio, TX and has seemingly been non-stop with the hits. The club anthem “Oxygen” produced by Yung Fyngas (Lil’ Flip, Craig G, Paul Wall, UGK) created a buzz in the south, where reggae is not exactly popular. The single went on to be featured on The Specialist album by DJ Double R. Kas is making headway in his push to be hip-hop’s new “dancehall king” by appearing on major mixtapes around the country and doing song collaborations with top artists like down south legend Paul Wall.

In 2006 Kast-A-Way released his first EP, Riddim & Rhyme EP, which featured the hit song “Clap Out.” The EP helped Kas gain an international presence in his native country Haiti, Europe and Asia. Kas did his first overseas collaboration with the German hip-hop group First Sacrifice on the single “Grief” in 2007. As Kast-A-Way embarks on his first studio album, a Illblooded presents… Riddim & Rhyme, on June 29th and his first release through Island Chyld Entertainment, Kas will once again prove that he is a prevailing voice in music.
