Biography

Katarina Kacunkovic was born in Belgrade, Serbia, to Serbian-Armenian parents. Although had studied to be an opera singer, she made her jazz debut in 1991 singing with Belgrade Radio and Television Big Band and has since collaborated with all prominent Serbian musicians. She has released albums: ‘The Erect Woman’, New Life’ and ‘Tribute to Mirko Souc’, on which she appears as co-arranger and producer. She likes to explore all music genres from jazz to pop to world.

Katarina, with her unique vocal, sings 16 gorgeous jazz & Latin songs from the ‘60s by Serbian composer Mirko Souc. She made old songs sparkle with new flame, both on versions with big band, as well as small bands. The songs are in Serbian. This is her 3rd album.
