Biography

Kellin Watson is a nationally-touring singer-songwriter, whose award-winning sound blends elements of blues, pop, folk, and soul. Hailing from Asheville, NC, Kellin draws on her Appalachian roots to bring both power and rawness to her music. With four albums out, Kellin's music is an ever-evolving collection of work rooted in soul, and folk that have brought her to where she is today. Kellin's mus...ic has appeared on national television (Degrassi: The Next Generation), and Gospel Music Channel's (Trinity Goodheart) in which she also played the supporting role of Kim Hawthorn. Kellin has been featured as a performer on CMT (CMT's Big Break) and Studio South (StudioSouth.tv). In addition, she has appeared onstage with and opened for a varied group of artists including: Amos Lee, The Duhks, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Little Feat, Jessica Simpson, Susan Tedeschi and many more. Her music has earned the praises of artists like Sara Evans, Richie Havens and Billy Corgan in particular, who called Kellin "a rare uncommon talent" whose "songs have the ability to take someone gently by the wrist and tell them a story." Kellin has toured across the United States and Canada, performing in varied venues (Hotel Cafe and The Viper Room in Los Angeles; The Rockwood and The Living Room in New York City).
