With a smooth mix of R&B, Jazz, Funk and Soul, singer-songwriter Kenya Soulsinger uses her sensual alto and haunting falsetto to tell stories of life, love, joy and pain. Music has always had a huge influence in her life...from high school and college bands and choirs, to a successful run with gospel recording group Set Aside, Kenya's love for music, especially soul music led to the recording of her debut album 'Groovy Way' released in Aug 2011. Since then, Kenya has released The 'Django Project', a collaborative effort with producer CAP, and in September 2013 released her sophomore album, 'The Love You To Life Album' produced by Spyda The Wise Musician, which is being well received in the US and in the UK.
During the 2013 Holidays, Kenya made her way across the pond to the UK. In the midst of soaking up the musical culture of London, KSS was honored to be the guest of honor for a meet and greet and CD signing at the historic Soul Brother Records. She was also privileged to perform some of her music from the 'Love You To Life Album' as well as the 'Django EP' at the sold out Black Tie Christmas Ball 2013 at The Roof Gardens as well as a performance on New Years Eve and Interviews with The Soul Of London Radio's (TSOL) Lady J Love, DJ Marcia Carr of Mi-Soul Radio and Kevin Roberts of the UK Soul Charts where 'The Love You To Life Album' climbed to #6! ‘Roses & Champagne’, a hot new single penned by Kenya Soulsinger released on Valentines Day 2015 is receiving rave reviews and gives another taste of what’s to come from the eagerly awaited EP, ‘Meet Me In The Glow’ set to be released Spring 2015.
