Biography

I was trained in classical piano from age 6 to 16. Thank GOD for parents who refuse to let their children quit piano lessons! I then moved into Big Band jazz and jazz choir in high school and also played in contemporary rock & roll/country bands during that time. During college, I focused on original vocal music and played in jazz fusion-type combos. Once out of college (and into the REAL world!), I became a Christian and devoted my life and my music to serving God.

I have noticed over the last 10 years or so, that nearly everyone I meet is incredibly stressed-out and in need of some quiet soothing moments in their lives. Starting with An Acoustic Christmas, I decided to try to focus my albums towards helping people relax and spend a few moments taking stock of their lives, their relationships, and their own souls. Every album I have produced since then has had this purpose in mind.

Some folks say my style is jazz, or new age, or even slightly classical. I prefer to think of it as contemporary classical with a slightly jazzy edge (how’s THAT for creating a new genre!). May you be blessed as you listen to my music!
