Born and raised in the islands, Kirby has been singing and playing guitars and ukulele since childhood. Of Hawaiian, Spanish, Norwegian, and Irish ancestry, his multi-cultural roots are reflected in the music he makes with friends at home on Kauai, and around the world. Hawaiian music, roots, rock, jazz, reggae and blues are some of his favorite styles. As leader or sideman, his skills are in constant demand on stage and in the recording studio. He has played and contributed to a host of critically acclaimed albums by local Hawaiian artists, as well as national and international releases. He remains one of Kauai's best loved musicians.
