Klaudia and Rico

This is an acoustic duo with a long history in Memphis, Tennessee. This band is marketing its debut on CD Baby. Rico and Klaudia have been working in bands such as "Secret Life", The Wolfgang" and "The Flying Shooters". Mostly a live-band, they worked in clubs such as Court Square Cafe, Blues City Cafe, Bombay Bicycle Club, Mermaids, Automatic Slims, Sleep Out Louis, Kudzu's, Escape Alley, and many more. They opened the show for the band Chicago at Mud Island, and opened for Leo Kottke in 1991 at the New Daisy in Memphis. Klaudia and Rico played regularly at the downtown Memphis restaurant "The North End" (now "Westy's) for 8 years. Thanks to their many musician friends and fans, David Skypeck, Lynn Duke, Chuck Sullivan, Jim Medlin, Jimmy Davis, Tommy Burroughs, Robert Barnett, Steve Powell, Debbie Bearden, Debbie Mann, Cheri Pedersen, David Cousar, Parker Card, John Gaskill, Herman Green, Bo Harris, Kevin Tallant, Richard Cushing, Doug Garrison, (too many to name), Klaudia and Rico remained on the live- music scene for over twenty years. Another great acoustic project, THE ARDENT TAPES (1990), recorded by Tom Laune, will soon be released on CD Baby. With Rico as the steady state guitarist and composer, Klaudia adds vocals, lyrics, slide guitar, bass, blues harps, melodica, and the recorder.
