As a child, Kristen was brought up in a loving, warm, non-religious home where God's name was rarely mentioned. While she knew the story surrounding the birth and death of Jesus Christ, she did not understand that He was the Son of God - He who laid down His life for her.
Shortly after arriving to Houston, Kristen was invited to attend the Alpha course, an introduction to Christianity (www.alphausa.org). This marked a turning point in Kristen's life and half way through the course she found herself unable to resist the sure and certain knowledge that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). She came to accept Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, and was baptized in March of 2000. She was 35 years old.
God has since transformed Kristen's life, and in the process He has gifted her with the ability to share the message of His love and hope through music and songwriting, and through witnessing her experiences and testimony to others. God has blessed Kristen with original songs about His love and hope, which she shares regularly through privately and publicly held praise concerts. Additionally, Kristen is the author of "His Side of the Looking Glass: Seeing Yourself as God Sees You", where she recounts her personal journey in learning to see herself as created for a noble purpose and how she looks to God's guidance to become the woman He has created her to be.
Kristen is an active member and strong leader within her church and community. When she is not making herself available for public and personal ministry to those in need, she spends her time caring for her loving husband and family, enjoying the company of good friends and maintaining a closer walk with Jesus. Her mission is to help others deepen their relationship with God through Jesus Christ, as He has equipped her to do.
