BIOGRAPHY
Kristi King has been a professional singer since she was nine years old and performed for the first time in her home town of Portland, Oregon. By the time she was twelve, she was a local celebrity and much in demand on radio and television. She received a special permit to sing in local night clubs and hotels and headlined three years at the Oregon State Fair in Salem. She originally trained with the vocal coach who worked with the Mouseketeers and the Christy Minstrels.
1979 – Opened for Joan Rivers at Ye Little Club, Beverly Hills
1980 – Opened for Joan Rivers at Carlos and Charlie’s, Los Angeles
1981 – Introduced Diane Warren song on Regis Philbin show, Los Angeles
1988-9 – Performed at the Original Dunes Hotel Main Show Room, Caesar’s Palace, the Sahara, and The Riviera, Las Vegas
1989 – Performed on same TV show as Righteous Brothers, Las Vegas
2004 – Producer/host, television show “What’s Going On,” with interviews with celebrities and fashion industry professionals from Palm Springs. Aired ten times on the Fox channel.
2006 – Producer/lead singer, “The Sensational Jewels,” Annenberg Theater, Palm Springs
2006 – Produced CD “By Request”
2011-present - Featured vocalist, “Que Sera! Celebrating Doris Day"
and performing in Portland with her R&B band
