Born Jarae Shawndale Liggion, 16 May 1983, Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA. Raised in Sacramento, California, Rapper Krytykal a.k.a The Problem started his career at the age of 16. His determination and drive lead him to pursue his career in rap. His influences are Tech N9ne, Twista, Jay-Z, and 50 Cent. Over the years he had worked with a few local Record Labels in Sacramento, where he met with producers Flowmatic & Complex (The Champ),They joined together becoming music partners. In 2007, Flowmatic created his own Production Company called Grind Hard Entertainment. Aside from the music, Grind Hard Ent also specializes in film & television scoring. Nite Tales The Movie hosted by Flava Flav was one of the movies they did which was also aired on BET.
Despite a hectic schedule with shows, Krytykal will also be doing charity fund raisers and performing at known festivals such as the Juneteenth Festival in June 2009. Krytykal has plans in the future to have his number one single on MTV Jams including a commercial on BET advertising his first debut solo album Success Is the Best Revenge which will be releasing in August 2009. His songs have and will be played on Sacramento’s #1 Hip-Hop Station KSFM 102.5, including his interviews. He will also get air play on Sacramento’s Official Hip-Hop Station 103.5 The Bomb, and many more to come.
Krytykal a.k.a The Problem have worked and collaborated with many artists, such as Goldie Gold and Doonie Baby from the Federation, Brotha Lynch Hung, and Doey Rock just to name a few. In the year of 2006, Krytykal was one of the opening acts for E-40 & Keak Da Sneak Tell Me When to Go concert located in Sacramento, Ca. He also will be doing many performances with Brotha Lynch Hung.
