Kylan was born in Mississippi in 1992. At the age of seven he moved to Bend, Oregon where he was home schooled and grew up in the outdoors. He started snowboarding at a young age where he competed on a national level two consecutive years. At the age of fifteen Kylan had a major accident where he fell seventeen feet onto concrete. The accident left him with several major injuries including two broken growth plates in both wrists and a broken hand, requiring two surgeries. In addition, his jaw was left crushed also requiring surgical reconstruction. Through the healing process Kylan really started playing his guitar and writing music. He spent twelve weeks with casts from his hands to almost his shoulders and his jaw wired shut playing the guitar. Once he healed from his injuries he realized the gift of being able to play and write his music. From that point, there has been no holding Kylan back.
To date, he has close to 20 original and many cover songs that he performs live on a consistent basis. His music captures the hearts of listeners of all ages and walks of life. Though Kylan is a young artist, he has lived a full life, his music is about life and feeling it as we move through our experiences and relationships. It is honest and real and touches the core no matter your age.
