Kyle Owen was born and raised in Northern California near the wine county. Since 2005, he has moved and lived in many different areas and states, and now lives in North Carolina. Kyle has been playing the flute since the age of 12, and has been composing since the age of 14. His work focuses on chamber music, and small ensembles. Kyle has written music for an iPhone game, as well as a Documentary, "Abandoned Allies" that was released this year. His goal is to reach as many people as he can with his music, and to collaborate with others who love music and want to share it with others.
Kyle attended University of the Pacific for Music Education and Music Composition back in 2004, but is now pursuing a career in the technology industry. Kyle composes primarily for flute and the flute family, but has written for other woodwind instruments as well. He also dabbles in electronica and chip sounds whenever possible. Kyle has a strong belief that music should be shared, explored, and discussed as part of our society, and culture, and thinks that everyone should at least experiment and be exposed to music.
Please feel free to contact him if you wold like to know more about his music, or if you would like to work with him. You can also find his website at www.kyleowen.com, and hopefully soon, you will be able to purchase sheet music for specific songs.
