By name L-Quote was known throughout by teachers, staff members, and even the principles. Soon he was asked to cease as he was really causing scenes prior to classes packing the cafeteria with tons of spectators.
His mother being from Changuinola, Panama and father being African American from Houston, Texas he really felt as if he needed to represent, not only for his American roots, but also for his Panamanian roots as well. He is known by many aliases such as LQ, Mr. BBQ, and the VA General.
After high school he joined the United States Air Force to further pursue his musical career. He felt he could travel, network, further himself educationally, meet new people, and still have the financial stability to work musically at will. Joining in September of 2005, he wanted to get his feet wet thru his first two years. Collaborating and meshing with a few local established movements thru those years, he soon started working on his craft. After 2008 he decided to pursue a solo career of his own.
