Lana was born in Yerevan, Armenia – a country more ancient than the Roman Empire.
As a gifted child, Lana was influenced by her father’s close friend, the famous Armenian composer, Konstantin Orbelian.
She studied music for sixteen years in the most prestigious schools in Armenia and Ukraine with prominent teachers, such as Carl Schnabel, a world renowned musician among others.
For her sold out Carnegie Weil Recital Hall concert in 2002, Lana took master classes with Valida Suk – professor of Moscow Conservatory, and the top prize winner of the International Margarita Long Competition in Paris, France.
Following her graduation with honors from the State Conservatory, Lvov, Ukraine, Lana Reign went on to perform and teach around the world – from Yerevan Conservatory to Savion studio in Israel, Bosendorfer studio in Vienna, Austria, New England Conservatory in Boston, personal engagements in Brno, Czech
Republic, and the recital for the benefit of the Opera House of Dallas.
She has given several performances in San Francisco as a soloist and chamber musician and was on the faculty of the Music Teachers Association of California, from 1982 to 1997.
Among Lana’s compositions are: New York songs-Before and after 9/11, The music for the documentary film “The New Time Square”, for sitcom “Catering company”, Argentine tangos, Waltzes, and others.
Through her active career Lana performed in various luxurious establishments including: “Maxwell’s Plum” in San Francisco, “The Firebird” in New York City, and “The Bistro Garden” in Los Angeles.
