LanternLane was born and raised in the United States in a place nestled among the Rocky Mountains of Utah.She has been singing songwriting since she could talk. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoys sharing her talents in firesides (Music-inspirational speaking). She is a single mom to 3 beautiful and amazing children,she created this album while going through an excruciating,and painful divorce. Through enduring through a severely oppressive situation, she turned to God and to writing music. Her motto has always been to rise above, do your best, and be your best even when the heart feels like it will break. Her optimism and faith continue to inspire others. Her belief is that,"God hasn't left anyone alone on this earth. He will keep his promises to those who love him. She does motivational/inspirational speaking.

ABOUT THE NAME- LANTERNLANE-
Because everyone always asks me how this name came about- here it is:)

Once there was a man who lived on a very dark street, in a rather large and impersonal city.
In this town, neighbors didn’t know or trust neighbors, and there were a lot of run down houses. It was a very dark place to live.
Then one day there was a man decided that he would do whatever it took to make a change in his neighborhood. He saved up his meager income, and put a bright Lantern in his yard. He then decided that he would buy a Lantern for each one of his neighbor’s yards. Bit by bit, he changed this dark place of the world into a delightful lane full of Light.
Some neighbors came to them wanting the light that others had, never comprehending the huge sacrifice it was to this man. Thinking everything should come free to them. This man quietly kept installing Lantern’s, sometimes going without his basic needs to create LanternLane, a place of Light and beauty.
This man is my brother.
He showed me that one person can make a difference. When I write music, sing or perform, my brother's example stands out in my mind. I hope that the music that comes from my heart can be a positive power for good. I've always loved the painter Thomas Kinkade, the painter of Light. I hope this God given music will light the way to your heart if you are on a dark path of life. Hopefully it will speak to your soul saying, “I’ve turned the light on for you, you don’t have to be afraid, here hold on, I’ll lead you down the path until you can stand on your own, lighting the path for other lost traveler’s."

Oct. 2010 - Performance for OPeration ensure Christmas for our troops- performed again with my good friends Tae Smith, and Drew Reese, to a room filled with people packaging boxes to send to our soldiers through the non profit org letterstosoldiers.org. Enjoyed sharing in the holiday spirit, and Santa Clause even came to support our troops. WE LOVE OUR TROOPS. Always a pleasure to sing songs about our soldiers, and give back to those who give EVERYTHING.
Looking forward to next year doing some concerts out in the Nashville area with my dear friends and singers out that direction. Stay tuned.
July 3 2010, Let Freedom Ring Concert in Morgan Utah, was so incredible. To be there in front of those I love and have known for years. While I was singing my Welcome Home Soldier song, a single firework went off in the distance, and looked like a shooting star, helping us all remember the troops.
It was so fun to share the stage with The FAB FIVE sisters who did a stunning performance throughout the night, with clever dances, and performances they had shared on America's Got Talent. Patriotism is ALIVE and well here in this place. A great Audience, and it was incredible the tribute paid to our Veterans too.
The high school freedom chorale sang so beautifully, as did the children's group, and others. What a fun evening. Enjoyed the fireworks after.
AMERICA -GOD BLESS THIS GREAT LAND!
May 27-30, 2010- Chicago Tour was so heart touching. Tamra Lynn Smith, Jamie Willis & I were able to perform and share the songs we had written for our soldiers at the North Chicago VA center as well as for the American Legion Benefit Concert at Bloom High. We Had the most wonderful time at the North Chicago VA medical Center with the amazing Dr'.s and Veterans of all different wars and walks of life. These men and women were so gracious, so fun to be around, and they truly touched my life. Paul Tackes arranged the concert for us to go to the VA hospital. He was a P.O.W. To know that many of these men and women, never even got a welcome home when they returned from war, really made our mission even that much more important to insure that our great heroes of this nation are never ever forgotten. We had so much appreciation for them. As I looked in all of their eyes, it was really hard to contain my tears. They are truly the top.
Many not able to do physically and mentally what they used to, and because of sacrifice to our country, and to us, we should thank God for every soldier and veteran.
Bloom High School was a nice benefit as well, and George Kovache put so much work into getting that all arranged. We hope to make it even bigger for him next year and the American Legion up there, and bring in even more artists and bigger artists as well.
Besides our interesting hotel rooms, talk about some of the crudiest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in, the trip was perfect. Only thing better would have been if our Tamra Lynn Smith had been better. She had a terrible flu, but she still managed to keep going with Project Troops and all the places we had to go and people we were privileged to meet.
Feb. 13, 2010 Cant say enough about how beautiful the Valentines Sweetheart Benefit Ball/Concert and Dance party turned out for our soldiers.

Oct. 17, 2009 - AMAZING MIRACLE happened today. I woke up without a voice, but by the time I got to Payson for the Operation Ensure Christmas for our troops concert sponsored by the amazing letterstosoldiers, and the lovely town of Payson Utah, my voice had come back. It was another awesome experience there, as I got to see service in action. Many of our Utah troops were there, in their military uniforms. There was so much support from the Payson community. It was a real pleasure singing for our troops today, and seeing so many come out and help pack packages to send to our soldiers. Sept. 11, 2009- This was an AMAZING night, under the stars at Bella's Restraunt, singing for my country and troops! Bella's Restraunt was so hospitable and what a beautiful enviroment they have. It was so fun to perform with the amazing bluegrass/ alternative country group Steel N' Thunder! They are the coolest. We decided to mak this a tradition each Sept. 11th, to do something for our country. These guys performed last year on the Cooking Delights TV show with me on 9/11.
Check them out. Taylor Audio did a fab job on the Dj dance party following. Thanks guys for donating your time to help this benefit concert. My dear friends Tina (from Great Massage) and Layna from Palme Jewelry came out and helped contribute to this concert! Thanks to Denise from letterstosoldiers.org who was on hand to help with the silent auction and having people write letters to soldiers. Though it was a smaller audience, it was perfect. No audience is too small! It was a great night. I love this country. We need to constantly stand up for our freedoms, and the constitution that was instituted in this...GOD's AMERICA. We still are
ONE Nation under God! IN GOD WE STILL TRUST! Let us do everything in our power to be ONE, to be UNITED in our cause for FREEDOM, our FAMILIES and our Country! GOD BLESS THE USA, and our SOLDIERS!
July 4, 2009- Been on a music break for a short bit to take time out and spend with the kids! Had the best time of my life going on a vacation over the 4th of July. It was so much fun to go horseback riding with my 3 kids, jet skiing, and biking! Writing some new songs currently, can't wait to get back into the music scene with some more inspired songs.
(Even started on an upbeat love song-hmmmm, don't know where this one came from as I'm still holding out in the singles scene.)Hope you all are having a wonderful summer. It's so good to be out in the sunshine enjoying God's Creations!
June 3,2009- Hi everyone! Haven't blogged here for awhile. I started going back to University full time so life has been very busy! Can't believe it's summer already. Just want to thank all of you who have supported my music, as well as have supported our troops. Getting ready for a new release of a song that I co-wrote with Tamra Lynn Smith. Watch for that one coming up. Will let you know where to download it! Hopefully it can put across the message and power, that soldiers need just as much support returning home, as they get when they go, and even more.
Wishing all of you (during a time of world stress and confusion)peace and happiness. I hope that you will all be able to see the "bigger picture" and not lose site of what's most important namely family and friends. Most of all give thanks to God for the journey, no matter how bumpy! Feb 20th- It was such an incredible concert tonight for this little gal with cancer. I can't believe how amazing also it was to perform with one of my all time favorite artists- Kenneth Cope! It truly was a perfect eve. A lot of miracles happened, Kenneth had a sore throat before he came, and wasn't able to even talk the day before, yet he sang so powerfully. It was so great to have my 2 girls on the stage with me singing. They brought a lot of people to tears. I enjoyed tonight so much. I could do a million and one concerts with Kenneth Cope, and still never tire of hearing his awesome voice and lyrics. The Warren Family did so much to make this concert happen for their daughter. They are the best people. I'm so blessed to have these kind's of opportunities! My thoughts are too, if I'm never famous or rich, that's okay with me, as I have a rich life of opportunity, and the best is being with my kids. I love these opportunities, where I can help out where I can, and come together with fabulous artist, and incredible people, who have shown me what life is all about!
Jan. 29, 2009- I'm looking forward to doing this next big cancer Benefit concert for a little 10 year old girl named Leah. I'm so excited to share a stage with my all time favorite artist KENNETH COPE! I also adore this little family that we are doing this show for. They are the pure in heart, and their little girl is so precious. She was diagnosed with leukemia, and the family desperately needs all of our help to finacially make it with all the medical bills. I hope to see many of you there.

Dec. 16th, "Believe" Christmas benefit concert with Drew Reese/ LanternLane/ Tae Wells, and Stephen West, and the MOrgan Elem school Choir, was such a moving night. We were able to raise funds to send over the letters from the schools, and packages to our troops for Christmas, as well as donate to the Morgan Food bank in cash and canned goods. It was such a magical evening, and to see the feelings in the eyes of the crowd, as the night progressed was one picture that I wish I could capture again.
The artists were all INCREDIBLE! This made my Christmas!
